Vogue India’s Forces of Fashion 2025, held from September 16 to 20 at Nilaya Anthology in Lower Parel, Mumbai, brought together 39 of the country’s most esteemed designers. Altogether, association with Rabanne, this five-day exhibition celebrated the rich tapestry of India’s fashion landscape, highlighting the fusion of tradition, innovation, and regional craftsmanship.

The showcase featured a diverse array of designers, each presenting unique interpretations of Indian fashion:

Rahul Mishra reimagined the traditional bandhani technique, transforming it from a textile into architectural silhouettes that narrate stories of memory, culture, and tradition.

East, a young designer from Manipur, spotlighted the traditional wraparound garments of the Northeast, emphasizing the mathematical intricacies of loin loom weaving.

Bobo Calcutta drew inspiration from architectural structures, particularly the pandal, to create fashion that envelops and embraces, symbolizing love at its core.

Gaurav Gupta delved into surreal Indian mythology, presenting a brass sculpture of a hybrid bird-woman figure, merging elements of a swan, peacock, and snake.

Ashdeen therefore Parsi gara embroidery into a dreamlike narrative, envisioning a ‘Cloud Kingdom’ inhabited by fantastical creatures.
