Autumn 2025 sees a wave of bold trainer collaborations.
Brands are partnering with fashion labels to produce capsule collections. These collabs mix nostalgia, minimalism, sport codes, and utility.
They also show how trainers still evolve beyond athletic gear.
Nike × Jacquemus: Ballet Meets Running Heritage
Nike & Jacquemus revived the 1972 Moon Shoe, originally crafted by Bill Bowerman. This version features a ruched nylon upper with leather Swoosh detail. The outsole maintains the waffle sole pedigree, while colourways offer pale yellow, black, red.
Priced at about €180, it drops in selected Nike boutiques from October 6.
Umbro × Rains: Subtle Fusion & Football DNA
Umbro joins Rains for the “Apply Pressure” capsule. Their take on the Fusion model uses exposed seams and texture contrast.
Colour options include solids like off-white accents paired with black base. Design cues reference football shirts, merged with minimalism and street utility. Retail price is around €129.
New Balance × Ganni: Running Shoe Meets Moccasin Flair
New Balance collaborates with Ganni for the 1906L silhouette. They blur lines between runner and moccasin styles. Features a rubber sole, moccasin-style strap, and metal Ganni butterfly motif. Danish brand’s serpent motif integrates subtly into design.
Launched during Paris Fashion Week, priced at around €190.
Puma × LGN: Sleek, Sock-Like Minimalism
Puma teams up with Louis Gabriel Nouchi (LGN) for a minimalist remake of the Mostro. Notable changes: strap removed, replaced by a high sock-upper.
