Label Mogra’s Festive 2025 Collection Blends Rangrez Vibrance with Makhmal Grandeur
As the festive season unfolds with its warmth, colour and celebrations, Label Mogra brings a special touch of elegance with its latest launch — Festive 2025. Designed by founder Surabhi Vaidya, the drop is thoughtfully presented in two chapters: Rangrez and Makhmal — distinct in mood yet bound by the shared spirit of festivity.
“This collection is presented in two chapters, Rangrez and Makhmal, both bound by the same spirit of festivity, yet carrying very distinct moods,” says Surabhi.
Rangrez: Colours in Celebration
Rangrez draws from the joy of colour, mirroring the vibrance of family gatherings and traditions. The edit features airy silhouettes, lightweight fabrics, and playful hues — from floral jackets to breezy chanderi sets — perfect for daytime festivities. Surabhi describes it as “playful, vibrant, and airy… capturing movement, joy, and togetherness.”
Makhmal: Velvet Grandeur for Evenings
If Rangrez is about brightness, Makhmal is about richness. Inspired by velvet, the collection features jewel tones, earthy shades, and structured silhouettes enhanced with intricate detailing. Designed for regal evenings, weddings and celebrations, it embodies grandeur while balancing tradition with modern sensibilities.
Highlights include the Teal Aztec Velvet Kurta Set, featuring a contemporary aztec motif yoke in ecru, layered with lace and gota embroidery. Surabhi calls it the brand’s way of “reimagining a contemporary aztec-inspired print while staying true to our ethos of modern Indian styles.”
Designer’s Picks
From Rangrez, Surabhi points to the dusty pink floral jacket set in silk chanderi, a contemporary first for the label. Embroidered brushstrokes elevate floral motifs, making it versatile for both intimate gatherings and weddings. From Makhmal, the Teal Aztec Kurta stands out for its depth, craftsmanship and statement-making appeal.
A Festive Wardrobe for Every Occasion
Together, Rangrez and Makhmal create a complete festive wardrobe — light and vibrant for day gatherings, regal and layered for evenings. As Surabhi Vaidya sums it up: “The edit is crafted to take a woman through the entire festive season in style.”
