Lakmé Fashion Week 2025: Designers, Trends, and Sustainability Highlights

Lakmē Fashion Week, in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is all set to make a grand return to New Delhi from October 9–12, 2025 at The Grand, Vasant Kunj. Presented by the House of Lakmē, FDCI, and Reliance Brands Ltd (RBL), the upcoming season promises a stellar showcase of India’s design talent, global collaborations, and sustainability-first initiatives.

This edition follows the platform’s silver-jubilee celebrations in Mumbai earlier this year, continuing its legacy of shaping India’s fashion narrative both locally and globally.

A Showstopping Finale by Tarun Tahiliani

The season will conclude with the much-awaited House of Lakmē Grand Finale, headlined by Tarun Tahiliani, celebrated for his blend of luxury couture and modern elegance. The showcase will also unveil the Lakmē Be-Jewel Collection, inspired by the brilliance of gemstones, reimagining modern maximalism through luminous jewel tones, diffused shimmer, and radiant tints.

Sunanda Khaitan, Vice President, Lakmē India, said:
“For Lakmē Fashion Week 2025, we are delighted to collaborate with Tarun Tahiliani, whose mastery of embellishment and drape complements this vision perfectly.”

Celebrating Indian Craft and Global Perspectives

The FDCI continues to champion indigenous crafts and “Made in India” fashion, with curated showcases highlighting both tradition and innovation.

    • FDCI x Moscow Fashion Week Presents Hatsibana – bringing international design voices to the Indian stage.

    • FDCI x Pearl Academy First Cut – spotlighting student designers and fresh creative visions.

With over 400 members, the FDCI strengthens India’s cultural imprint on the global fashion map while empowering artisans and handloom traditions.

    Sustainability at the Core

Reliance Brands Ltd (RBL) is powering the R|Elan™ Circular Design Challenge, featuring six global finalists presenting collections with a focus on circularity, innovation, and responsible design.

The platform’s GenNext initiative, supported by NIF Global, will also nurture the future of Indian fashion with breakthrough showcases from winners Mohammed Anas Sheikh, Pranita Choudhury, and Anam Husain.

    Shaping the Future of Fashion

Reflecting on the event’s mission, Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, noted:
“As Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI marks another milestone in Delhi, we remain committed to championing creativity and innovation while advancing the business of fashion.”

From iconic designers to fresh talent, couture glamour to circular design innovations, Lakmē Fashion Week 2025 is poised to define the trends and conversations shaping the future of Indian fashion.
