India Couture Week 2025 offered a breathtaking tapestry of design, weaving timeless heritage, daring innovation, and star-studded showstoppers into one spectacular fashion spectacle.
One of the standout debuts came from Aisha Rao, whose “Wild At Heart” collection stunned with maximalist artistry born from repurposed fabrics and theatrical flair. By turning discarded textiles into couture masterpieces, Rao captured the transformative power of sustainability and creativity, infusing the runway with unapologetic emotionality.
Amit Aggarwal, known for his futuristic aesthetic, returned with Antevorta—a hypnotic, bio-futuristic collection that celebrated the unseen wonders beneath human form. His avant-garde silhouettes rippled with metallic sheen and sculptural textures, straddling the space between art and architecture with graceful choreography.
Layered into the evening’s magic were moments of radiant pageantry—Riddhima Kapoor Sahni became the shimmering muse for Suneet Verma’s “Sehr,” a collection suffused with sequins, florals, and wistful romance. Khushi Kapoor closed one of the most daring runway shows, adorned in a couture ensemble inspired by the traditional payal (anklet), seamlessly translated into avant-garde art—an armor of cultural motifs.
The grand finale came courtesy of JJ Valaya, whose immersive showcase marked his illustrious 33-year legacy in Indian couture. With Rasha Thadani and Ibrahim Ali Khan presiding over the cinematic pageantry, the runway transformed into a palace, echoing threads of royal craftsmanship, heritage, and storytelling.
