👗 Budapest Central European Fashion Week to Feature Record Number of Emerging Designers
This September 1–7, 2025, Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) will return for its 16th edition with a historic milestone — the largest-ever showcase of emerging Hungarian designers. For the first time, graduation collections from local fashion universities will be featured in the official programme, giving student talent a direct platform to connect with industry professionals.
Organised by the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA), BCEFW has become a key player in the Central European fashion calendar, bridging the gap between education and professional practice. Students from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) and Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) will unveil their final collections, offering audiences bold and innovative perspectives on the future of Hungarian and regional design.
🌟 Emerging Designers Take Center Stage
Nearly 100 designers from Hungary and six neighboring countries will participate, with 60 percent of the lineup led by young talent. Initiatives like the Young Talents Programme and the Fashion Hub continue to support early-career designers with mentorship, visibility, and networking opportunities.
Tailoring students will also be invited to attend shows, creating valuable exposure to the workings of the international fashion ecosystem.

BCEFW isn’t just about the catwalk. This year’s schedule includes pop-up shops, exhibitions, and panel discussions, spreading fashion energy across Budapest.
