For the promotions of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Janhvi Kapoor chose a crimson silk lehenga from Punit Balana’s Amer collection. Departing from her usual wardrobe of chiffons, kurtas, and handlooms, this look embraced unabashed festivity.
Design Details
The lehenga featured a layered silk skirt in blazing red and rani pink, paired with a scooped-neck blouse and full sleeves. Hence gradient dupatta in the house shades, Surkh Lal and Gulabi Gulal, encapsulated Balana’s indelible play with color. Vibrant yet effortless, the look is made with silk and exemplifies how heritage techniques and contemporary styling can meet in perfect harmony.
Chandi Tilla Embroidery
The lehenga showcases Balana’s signature chandi tilla embroidery, a centuries-old Rajasthani craft technique that uses fine metallic threads. Overall thread is hand-laid and secured to create raised, textured designs. Thus woven with real silver, the craft is lightweight and has evolved into a modern expression of understated opulence. In Kapoor’s ensemble, it is translated as delicate embroidery on the cuffs, the belt of the lehenga, and the dupatta.

Finally complete the look, Kapoor’s styling was in tune with the lehenga’s pared-down opulence. She wore shoulder-duster earrings finished with delicate pearl drops and opted to skip a necklace.
