Designer Karn Malhotra, celebrated for his unapologetically bold colour stories and contemporary couture, has unveiled a dazzling new edition of partywear for the winter season. Titled Fairy Forest, the collection blends whimsy with glamour — the kind that takes you from festive soirées to statement night outs with effortless flair.
A Forest of Fantasy and Fashion
“Fairy Forest is an eclectic collection of contemporary eveningwear,” says Karn. “It features extensive use of sequins, crystals, and appliqué to create rich textures.”
The palette is both striking and sophisticated — a playground of contrasts like burgundy with pink, black and white, pinks and greens, and generous accents of silver, which lend the collection a bold pop-art feel. The pieces glimmer under light, creating a perfect balance between art and allure.
Pop-Art Meets Animal Instincts
The inspiration behind the collection takes an unexpected turn. “The idea was to recreate animal skin patterns using embroidery and embellishments, but through a pop-art lens,” explains Karn.
Think a burgundy mini dress reimagined with pink tiger stripes, or giraffe patterns in silver and green — all designed to bring a vibrant, artistic edge to traditional motifs. The results are fresh, daring, and unapologetically fun.

“While styles, silhouettes, and the overall aesthetic remain consistent, every collection tells a different story,” Karn says. “We experiment with different mediums and crafts to create something fun, fresh, and unexpected for our audience.”
