For Angel Reese, life just came full circle. The Chicago Sky forward—who once dreamed of donning Victoria’s Secret wings as a little girl—is now officially walking the runway for the iconic lingerie brand.
Reese, like many Gen Z women, grew up captivated by the fantasy of the Victoria’s Secret Angels—those dazzling supermodels who defined early-2000s fashion television. “I would always watch the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and always dreamed that I, one day, could possibly be a model,” Reese shared with Vogue.
Last year, she attended the brand’s fashion show and posted an ambitious note on Instagram: “I’m going to be a Victoria’s Secret model one day.” Fast forward to today—she’s made it happen.

Known for her dynamic energy on the basketball court, Reese brings that same confidence to the runway, joining the first-ever class of athletes-turned-models in Victoria’s Secret history. “I have a video of me, when I was younger, dancing in Victoria’s Secret sweatpants and a hoodie,” Reese recalled with a laugh. “It’s such a full-circle moment for me.”
