Govind Interiors, a well-known name in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s interior design space, stands as a testament to perseverance, vision, and hard work. Founded by Prashant Uttamrao Gujarathi, the brand reflects a journey that began with modest means but an unwavering dream to create a distinct identity in the city.
Prashant Gujarathi arrived in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in 1996 as a young man with a single ambition — to make a name for himself. With no financial backing but a strong determination to do something different, he stepped into the home furnishing sector, beginning with curtain stitching work.
Early Years of Learning and Growth
Between 1996 and 2001, Gujarathi balanced his college education while working in stitching on a salaried basis. Although the experience helped him gain practical skills, he felt the urge to build something of his own. This inner drive led him to take a decisive step in 2001 by starting his independent venture.
Under the name Govind Furnishing, he gradually built a reputation in the local market. His services expanded beyond curtains to include sofa covers, kitchen trolleys, and a wide range of home décor solutions, catering to growing customer needs.
Transition into the Interior Design Space
As his work gained visibility, Gujarathi began receiving inquiries for complete interior projects. Recognising the need for professional expertise, he decided to strengthen his team rather than limit his ambitions. This phase marked a turning point with the association of interior designer Ms. Mitali Maheshrao Khadkekar (Kulkarni).
For the past four years, the duo has successfully collaborated on multiple interior projects, combining experience, creativity, and execution. With her support and encouragement, Govind Furnishing evolved from a home-based operation into a full-fledged business office.

Today, the brand is known as Govind Interiors, offering end-to-end interior solutions under one roof. The company provides access to modern materials, contemporary designs, and an experienced professional team, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
