Coming from a modest middle-class family, Vasim Kasim Saudagar has emerged as a shining example of how determination, family support, and hard work can transform adversity into opportunity. Today, he is the founder of Vadapav Station, a fast-growing food brand that has gained strong recognition within a short span of time.
Vasim’s journey began in a household where his father worked as a rickshaw driver, earning a daily wage amid uncertainty and long working hours. Growing up in this environment instilled in him the values of perseverance, honesty, and resilience.
A Turning Point
After completing his education, Vasim started his professional career as a lab technician. However, the job lacked long-term security, and the fear of sudden unemployment always loomed. Eventually, that fear became reality when he lost his job—at a time when the responsibility of supporting his family rested entirely on his shoulders.
This period marked one of the most challenging phases of his life, filled with stress, self-doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, one thought remained constant:
“I must build something of my own.” 
A Father’s Advice That Changed Everything
During this difficult phase, Vasim received unwavering support from his family. His father’s simple yet powerful advice became a turning point:
“We live in Maharashtra—there is never a shortage of work here.”
He encouraged Vasim to start a vadapav business, a humble yet iconic Maharashtrian street food. Initially hesitant, Vasim eventually trusted his family’s belief in him.
Adding strength to this decision, his younger brother made a significant sacrifice, resigning from his Assistant Manager position to join Vasim full-time in building the business.
Birth of “Vadapav Station”
With honesty, consistency, and a strong focus on quality, the brothers laid the foundation of Vadapav Station. What began as a small venture soon gained popularity for its taste, hygiene, and authenticity.
Within just six months, Vadapav Station expanded to three outlets, providing stable employment to 10 people. The business not only ensured financial stability for Vasim’s family but also improved the livelihoods of several others.
From Unemployment to Leadership
Once unemployed and uncertain about the future, Vasim Kasim Saudagar today leads a loyal and dedicated team.
“Today, I don’t have a job—I have a team that feels like family,” he says with pride.
His journey stands as proof that leadership is built through trust, shared effort, and humility.
Vision for the Future
Vasim’s ambitions extend far beyond local success. His long-term vision is to take authentic Maharashtrian vadapav beyond Maharashtra, introducing it at a national level as a recognized and respected food brand.
By preserving original taste and quality, he aims to position vadapav not just as street food, but as a symbol of Maharashtra’s culinary identity.

“This is not my success alone—it is the result of my family’s belief and my team’s hard work,” he says humbly.
