The journey of Shubham Surendra Pawar, proprietor of Suryanarayan Catering Services, is a story of resilience, responsibility, and unwavering determination. Born in 1994, Shubham’s life became deeply intertwined with the hospitality business from a young age—though not by choice, but by destiny.
A Father’s Leap of Faith in Entrepreneurship
Shubham’s father, Late Surendra Balkrishna Pawar, took a bold step by resigning from his job at Hotel Blue Diamond to establish his own venture, Suryanarayan Caterers. Like any new business, the early years were filled with struggle, uncertainty, and social pressure. Despite criticism and hardship, Surendra Pawar remained firm in his resolve, determined to build a sustainable future for his family.
These struggles were often narrated by Shubham’s mother, whose emotional accounts of sacrifice left a lasting impact on him—though at the time, he never imagined that he would one day shoulder the responsibility of the family business.
An Unlikely Beginning and Early Struggles 
As a young student, Shubham was independent and determined to manage his own expenses. During his college years, he worked as a painter to support himself—an experience he now recalls with humility and pride. The catering business felt distant from his personal ambitions, and he never envisioned a future in the hospitality sector.
Yet, circumstances slowly brought him closer to his father’s work. When Shubham began assisting in the business, it brought immense joy to both his parents, who saw maturity and responsibility taking shape in their son.
A Life-Altering Loss and a Defining Moment
In 2014, tragedy struck when Shubham’s father passed away suddenly due to a heart attack in his sleep. At just 20 years of age, Shubham was forced to take charge of the business amid grief, confusion, and immense pressure.
The early years were exceptionally challenging. Many clients hesitated to place orders, doubting whether someone so young could manage large-scale catering responsibilities. The next two to three years tested his endurance and self-belief.
Strength from Family and Steady Growth
With unwavering emotional support from his mother and the belief that his father’s guidance remained with him, Shubham persevered. He adapted to changing times, refined operations, strengthened customer relations, and gradually built credibility through consistent quality and reliability.
Building Trust in Pune’s Hadapsar Region
Today, Suryanarayan Catering Services has established a strong reputation in the Hadapsar area of Pune. The brand is known for its trust, timely execution, and quality service. Many clients now place complete faith in the business—often finalising event dates, menus, and guest counts with a single phone call, confident that their occasion will be handled seamlessly.

Shubham Pawar runs the business with pride and passion, supported by a dedicated team of co-workers and loyal clients. With growing recognition and customer satisfaction, he remains focused on innovation and expansion in the coming years.
