The Bads of Bollywood screening unfolded in Mumbai on September 17.  It marked Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, drawing Bollywood’s biggest names.  Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kajol, Ananya Panday and more attended.
Yet two gowns caught all eyes: those of Radhika Merchant and Shloka Mehta.
Radhika Merchant: Dramatic Red
Radhika walked the carpet in a red Maria Lucia Hohan gown. The gown was off-shoulder, with tulle fabric, side slit and a draping accent. She carried a matching Hermes Kelly bag, golden knotted metallic sandals. Her hair was blow-dried straight, adding shine, volume, movement.
Makeup was glossy and pink, balancing the fiery red gown.
Shloka Mehta: Classic Black with Flair
Meanwhile, Shloka wore a Giambattista Valli Paris lace gown. The midi corset dress featured bow straps and floral embroidery.
She paired it with a butterfly-inspired Judith Leiber clutch and black Dior slingback pumps. A matching Richard Mille watch added luxury and sparkle.
Hair was styled half-open with soft waves. Makeup stayed peach-nude.
Ambani Glamour & Family Moments
Both women arrived with Aakash Ambani, as part of the Ambani family presence. Nita Ambani also made a statement in a Manish Malhotra saree. Thus, the premiere was as much a family event as a fashion moment.
Why the Looks Worked
Red and black contrast brought visual drama to the carpet. Radhika’s bold red stood out among subtler hues nearby.
Shloka’s black gown balanced elegance and bold embroidery. Accessories enhanced but did not overwhelm the outfits.
Hairstyling and makeup complemented rather than competed with gowns.
