Jordan Brand is bringing back a long-lost sample with its upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Infrared” (CT8529-001).
Originally designed in 1999 as a “salesman sample,” this colorway never saw mass retail.
Now, over two decades later, the sneaker is set to release in Spring 2026.
Design Tweaks and Details
The “Reverse Infrared” version keeps the classic AJ6 shape.
However, it flips or shifts some color elements from the OG Infrared design.
For example, the midsole’s infrared and black accents swap placements compared to earlier versions.
Also, the heel features Nike Air embroidery in bright Infrared—something that appeals strongly to purists.
The upper will be mostly black nubuck, contrasted with light crimson (an Infrared-adjacent hue) on trims, Jumpman logo, and midsole highlights.
Release Timing, Pricing & Availability
The official drop date is set for February 14, 2026, coinciding with NBA All-Star Weekend.
Retail price in the U.S. is expected to be in the region of US$210-$225.
Release will be global and include full family sizing (men, women, kids).
