Vestiaire Collective has confirmed that Bernard Osta, its Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Maximilian Bittner, who is exiting after seven years at the helm.
The change marks a new chapter for the high-end resale platform, as the company looks to scale further in a competitive market.
Osta’s Journey & Credentials
Osta is already well known within Vestiaire’s leadership ranks. He joined the company in May 2021 as Chief Strategy Officer, a role he held until August 2023.
In September 2023, he became CFO, a role he has held until his elevation to CEO.
Prior to Vestiaire, Osta spent 15 years in investment banking. His experience includes stints at Lazard and Goldman Sachs in New York and Paris.
Moreover, he is an independent member of the Supervisory Board of Vivendi, a media and entertainment group.
Bittner’s Exit & Board Statement
Maximilian Bittner has led Vestiaire Collective since late 2018.
In announcing the transition, the board expressed gratitude for Bittner’s leadership and growth contributions.
They also affirmed confidence in Osta’s capabilities, citing his deep company knowledge, leadership skills, and international experience as key assets for the next growth phase.
