Lakmé Fashion Week 2025, held in Delhi, became a vivid canvas of colour. Designers brought boldness and balance. They played with both statement shades and subtle tones. Below, we explore the seven colours that truly dominated the runways.

    1. Royal Red & Rouge

Red remains timeless. Therefore this year, it appeared in many forms — deep, vibrant, fiery. Designers like Mahima Mahajan, Shantnu & Nikhil, and Satya Paul used it extensively in bridal and festive lines.

These reds ranged from rich vermilion to dusky rouge. Therefore they added drama and emotion to silhouettes. The shade also ties deeply into Indian festive vocabulary.

    2. Jewel Tones

Emerald green, ruby red, and gold surfaced across collections. Additionally Tarun Tahiliani’s Bejewelled and Tanieya Khanuja’s Desire Dynasty, jewel tones added luxury and depth.

Even forest green and purple appeared in floral themes. Hence shades evoke royalty, opulence, and classic richness.

    3. Pastels & Blush Palette

Softness made its mark through blush pink, lilac, sage green, and butter yellow. Designers such as Ankush Jain and Mahima Mahajan wove them into floral and sequin work.

Thus gentle hues balanced the bold tones. They also brought a dreamy, delicate touch to heavier textures.

    4. Ivory & Neutrals

Ivory surfaced as the understated hero of the show. It offered elegance without overshadowing design. Many outfits used embroidery, sequins, and delicate detailing. Collections by Tarun Tahiliani, Payal Jain, and Itrh featured it heavily.

Neutral tones provided a calm backdrop for more dramatic pieces. Altogether they allowed structure, silhouette, and texture to shine.

    5. Amber Yellow & Tangerine

Sunlit and warm, amber merged with tangerine this season. However designers like Mahima Mahajan and Abhishek Sharma incorporated these hues in festive wear and flowy ensembles.

Thus yellow-orange palette felt celebratory and vibrant. It added a pop of brightness without being overpowering.

    6. Classic Black & White

Black and white never go out of style. But 2025 designers reinvented them. Names like Suneet Verma, Rajiv Bajaj, Tarun Tahiliani, and Shantnu & Nikhil used these shades in bold cuts, embroidery, and contrasts.

Therefore used the duality of light and dark, merging minimalism with maximal detail. When used side by side, they created chic drama.

    7. Starry Silver

Silver took on a futuristic twist. Structural garments glinted under lights. Finally design houses like Shantnu & Nikhil and Tarun Tahiliani leaned into metallics for statement pieces.
