Where India’s textile heritage meets the pulse of modern design.

Dash and Dot’s Festive 2025 collection redefines contemporary festive dressing by blending traditional weaves with modern silhouettes. It’s where heritage meets modernity, and new design sensibilities seamlessly merge with timeless craftsmanship. The ensembles, versatile in spirit, can transition from grand soirées to intimate celebrations, balancing luxury with effortless wearability.

Lightweight, Layered and Globally Inspired Designs

At the heart of the collection lies the Benares capsule — a tribute to the legendary weavers of the city. Founder Ashray Gujral explains, “The focus is on preserving the artistry of Benares while giving it global relevance through proportion, styling, and wearability.”

Reinterpreting brocade, tissue, and raw silk, the capsule breathes new life into Indian craftsmanship with designs like sari-drape gowns, draped pants, structured jackets, and fluid skirts. Each piece carries a whisper of heritage embroidery and artisanal prints, adding depth without excess.

The palette is inspired by the city’s regal essence — ivory and gold echo its timeless grandeur, while fuchsia, royal blue, and emerald green bring a burst of contemporary vibrance. Fabrics such as organza, brocade, and textural viscose are delicately accented with sequins and threadwork, creating garments that are luxurious yet feather-light.

The New Language of Indian Festive Wear

We wanted the clothes to feel current, confident, and easy to make one’s own,” says Ashray. From modular separates and airy co-ords to crop tops, jackets, and longline shirts, every piece is designed for layering, movement, and longevity. Relaxed fits, fuss-free closures, and breathable fabrics make each ensemble a modern wardrobe essential — festive yet functional.

    Crafted from Connection

The collection’s roots are deeply personal. “During a visit to Benares, I met artisans who have carried forward this intricate craft for generations,” Ashray shares. “The collaboration began there—translating their weaving traditions into a modern context while preserving the essence of handwork.”

In essence, Festive 2025 marks a defining chapter for Dash and Dot — one that honours Indian textile heritage while rewriting it for a generation that seeks individuality, comfort, and conscious design.

As Ashray sums it up, “It’s festive wear that celebrates craft without nostalgia—sharp, modular, and globally relevant.”
