The spotlight turned to emerging Italian creativity on October 29 in Milan, as Accademia Costume & Moda (ACM) presented twelve haute couture capsule collections during Fashion Graduate Italia 2025. The event marked a moment of artistic revelation for ACM’s academic master’s in Haute Couture Fashion Design students, whose works were guided by Santo Costanzo, Director of the Fashion Department at ACM.

The runway became a canvas for a new generation of couturiers—each exploring their individual artistic language while remaining anchored in Italy’s sartorial heritage.

Taking to the runway were Andrea Chiarato with And something else happens and everything else is gone; Carolina Balbinotto with Lovers; Joana Rrapaj with Whisper at the wonder bar; Leonardo Marinelli with Manquen; Maddalena Guidi with Il luogo dei fili leggeri; Maria Luisa Muller with Tra le lettere; and Mattia Sechi with Inchiostro dell’Anima. Also showcasing were Mia Hasak (Sunset), Mikhail Errol Albano (Bel fisico), Pablo Andreozzi (La città invisibile), Ran Zhou (Cold romance), and Sara Hegyi (Tessuti dimenticati).

Each collection reflected the designers’ personal narratives—intimate stories and emotional fragments translated into silhouettes, textures, and motion. From sculptural tailoring to ethereal draping, the collections captured the poetic tension between tradition and experimentation, structure and spontaneity.

“At the heart of the project is sustainability—both as a value and a practice,” shared ACM management. Through collaborations with leading textile manufacturers from the ‘Made in Italy’ district, designers worked with custom-made fabrics and high-quality deadstock materials, breathing new life into forgotten textiles. The initiative reaffirmed the academy’s commitment to fusing craftsmanship with innovation and promoting a more responsible approach to couture.

Among the collaborating companies were Alesilk, Clerici, Gentili Mosconi, Isa Seta, Mazzanti Piume, and Spazio Chirale—each contributing expertise and resources to support the students’ creative visions.

The result was a runway rich in emotional storytelling, where fabric became language, craftsmanship became memory, and sustainability became art. Fashion Graduate Italia 2025 once again confirmed that Italy’s next generation of designers is not only technically adept but deeply thoughtful—ready to shape the future of couture with awareness and authenticity.
