Lily Allen stepped into the world of high fashion on November 17, making her runway debut at the 16Arlington × Antony Price Salon Show held at the London-based brand’s studio. Fresh off her emotionally raw album West End Girl, Allen carried herself with poise, dramatizing her walk with a lit cigarette — a bold, theatrical nod to old-school glamour.

    A Dress That Speaks Volumes

For the show, Allen wore a striking midnight-blue velvet gown designed in collaboration with Antony Price. Thus dress featured a plunging neckline that flared upwards at the sides and a high central slit — subtle yet powerful.A vibrant lime-green satin lining peeked through, adding a splash of color and contrast. Her look was complemented by silver velvet Mary Janes, custom Manolo Blahniks made especially for the show. Hence to polish things off, she sported a sleek updo and a glossy black manicure.

    Glamour, Legacy & Collaboration

This wasn’t just any fashion event — it was a celebration of classic glamour and design history. The show marked a collaboration between 16Arlington’s creative director, Marco Capaldo, and Antony Price, the iconic designer behind the looks of Roxy Music and Duran Duran. Capaldo and Price revisited archival pieces, translating the designer’s ’70s and ’80s sculptural aesthetics into a modern made-to-order collection. Overall intimate salon-style event featured 16 unique looks, worn by a mix of models and friends from Capaldo’s circle.

Guests included notable names like Lila Moss, Edie Campbell, Paloma Elsesser, Adwoa Aboah, Lara Stone, and Kai-Isaiah Jamal. Collectively, they embodied a vision of “cross-generational, eternal, enduring glamour.”

     Symbolism

Allen’s cigarette-holding walk drew comparisons to iconic “catwalk fag moments” from fashion history. Her look was dubbed “Avenge”, perhaps a tongue-in-cheek reference of her latest album. The name hints at her personal reinvention and the power of transformation.

Meanwhile, the show itself carried deeper emotional weight. Capaldo and Price paid homage to key figures in their lives: pieces honored Capaldo’s late partner, Federica “Kikka” Cavenati.  Meanwhile other garments nodded to Price’s long-time friend and cultural confidant. Therefore presentation felt less like a typical runway, and more like an intimate gathering — a salon of mutual respect, history, and artistry
