Madam Maya Pravin Pardeshi, founder of Master Learners Phonics, Sangamner, is a professional phonics trainer who has taught English to over 5,000 students in the last 16 years. Her journey—from a rural girl with big dreams to a respected educator and entrepreneur—is a shining example of the saying “Every end is a new beginning.”
Humble Beginnings Rooted in Determination
Born into a simple farmer’s family in Maharashtra, Maya completed her entire education—from Grade 1 to D.T.Ed.—in Marathi medium. She began her career as a primary teacher in a private school, but her passion for teaching pushed her to start her own coaching classes. With immense hard work, consistency, and dedication, she built her institute from scratch, overcoming countless challenges.
A Life-Altering Accident
Just when life seemed stable—with a loving husband, daughter, and a growing academic venture—destiny struck hard.
On 2 June 2018, Maya met with a horrific accident that severely damaged the entire left side of her body. With excessive bleeding, head injuries, and three days of unconsciousness, she fought a painful battle for survival. Months in the hospital brought emotional, financial, and physical devastation. Surgeries, unbearable pain, and the fear of losing everything she built made recovery even harder.
Her coaching classes collapsed, students left, and the family faced a major financial crisis. Everything she had created from nothing seemed lost once again.
Rising from the Ashes
But Maya refused to give up.
She reminded herself: “I am still alive. That means my purpose is not yet over.”
With renewed courage, she decided to rebuild her life. Just as she started recovering, fate tested her again—the nationwide lockdown was imposed, shutting down all private coaching classes.
Yet, even this could not break her spirit. Maya adapted quickly, took personal classes during lockdown, and began a fresh journey with only two students. That small beginning reignited her mission.
Reaching Maharashtra, One Child at a Time
With 16 years of teaching excellence and a consistent record of 100% results, students from different districts began coming to her to learn English. Her dream to reach every corner of Maharashtra turned into reality as Master Learners Phonics expanded to 36 franchise centers across the state.
Driven by her commitment to women empowerment, Maya provides employment opportunities to women who wish to build a career in education. Her vision is clear—Every child in every village should become a fluent English reader.
