In Maharashtra’s education landscape, one name stands out for dedication, commitment, and heartfelt service—Mrs. Surekha Vilas Matale, the founder and principal of Little Star Play School in Nashik’s Vitthal Nagar. Since 2013, she has been laying strong educational foundations for young children with love and professionalism.
From Educator to Visionary Founder
Mrs. Matale is not just an experienced teacher but a visionary educationist deeply committed to child development. Holding essential academic qualifications including M.A. and B.Ed., she has a thorough understanding of child psychology and effective teaching methods. Using this expertise, she created a learning environment that is safe, joyful and rich in opportunities for children to explore and grow.
Establishing Little Star Play School 
In 2013, Mrs. Matale established Little Star Play School in Vitthal Nagar, Nashik. The school offers classes from Play Group to Senior KG, focusing on holistic early childhood development through play-based learning, modern teaching tools, trained and sensitive staff, creative activities, and cultural events. The institution emphasises building confidence, values and happiness in children.
Expansion and Growing Trust
With rising trust from parents and the community, Little Star Play School opened a second branch in Devaramnagar, Kamatwade in 2016. Today, the school has become a reliable and respected name in preschool education across Nashik.
A Heart for Social Responsibility
Beyond academics, Mrs. Matale places great importance on social responsibility. Every year, she leads school visits to orphanages to spread messages of love, compassion and human values among students. She believes education should not be limited to textbooks but should prepare children to be sensitive, responsible citizens.

Recognizing her dedication and achievements, she has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
