Hailing from a small village and born into a farmer’s family, Swapnil Gawande’s journey began far from business hubs or startup ecosystems. From an early age, he worked as a labourer, taking up jobs wherever opportunities arose—sometimes in a medical store, sometimes in an office. Currently, he also serves as a manager at Cinema Guha in his city.

Like every successful entrepreneur, Swapnil’s journey began with a dream. A thought repeatedly crossed his mind:
“How long should I continue working for others?”
That single question became the turning point of his life. While many hesitate to act on such thoughts, Swapnil decided to trust himself. Determined to become a job creator rather than a job seeker, he resolved to start his own business.

After carefully thinking through his options, Swapnil chose the food business and decided to open a pizza shop. In 2023, he officially launched what would later grow into NG Café & Pizza Shop.
However, the reality of entrepreneurship proved far more challenging than the dream.
Launching the Dream Amid Struggles
The initial phase was extremely difficult. Being a new business, Swapnil faced financial constraints, challenges in building a customer base, and lack of external support. For nearly eight continuous months, the business ran in loss.
The pressure was not just financial—it was emotional. People mocked him, questioned his decisions, and told him that business was “not meant for him.” Some even accused him of wasting his family’s money. There were moments when closing the shop felt like the easiest option.
Choosing Persistence Over Defeat
What separates dreamers from achievers is persistence—and Swapnil chose not to give up.
Instead of shutting down, he restarted with a renewed strategy. He focused on product quality, customer satisfaction, and consistent service. Slowly but surely, customers began returning. Positive word-of-mouth started working in his favour.
Losses turned into stability. Stability turned into growth.
NG Café & Pizza Shop: A Symbol of Self-Belief
Today, as NG Café & Pizza Shop approaches three successful years, Swapnil’s journey stands as proof that perseverance pays off. The same people who once doubted him now congratulate and encourage him.
His café is no longer just a food outlet—it is a symbol of self-belief, discipline, and resilience.
