Educating children and shaping their future is a cherished dream of every parent. Yet, when children fulfill those dreams while carrying forward the values and moral teachings instilled in them, it reflects an ideal personality. Dr. Piyush Lahu Bagal stands as a fine example of such an inspiring journey—one rooted in tradition, discipline, and a deep commitment to service.
Born into a farming family in Gadegaon village of Pandharpur taluka, a region known for its legacy of freedom fighters, Dr. Bagal grew up with strong cultural and ethical foundations. From a young age, he nurtured a clear ambition—to become a doctor and serve society.
Academic Path Towards Ayurveda
Dr. Bagal completed his primary, secondary, and higher secondary education in Pandharpur, staying at his maternal uncle’s place. His parents strongly wished to see him become a doctor, and aligning with this shared dream, he secured admission in 2016 to the College of Ayurveda, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, to pursue B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery).
Studying in Pune—widely regarded as a global hub of Ayurveda—proved to be transformative. The city’s deep-rooted Ayurvedic traditions and legacy of renowned practitioners brought him closer to the science of holistic healing.
Learning Through Observation and Practice 
From his very first year, Dr. Bagal proactively visited various Ayurvedic hospitals for clinical observation. These experiences allowed him to witness the powerful and often remarkable results of Ayurvedic treatments. Through hands-on learning, he developed a strong belief in Ayurveda’s potential to heal patients holistically—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
The Blessings of a Guru
In the world of medicine, mentorship plays a vital role. Dr. Bagal was fortunate to receive guidance and blessings from his revered mentor, Dr. Harish Patankar, a renowned Ayurvedic expert and the Founder of Kayayurveda. Under his guidance, Dr. Bagal refined his clinical skills and deepened his understanding of authentic Ayurvedic practice.
Aarogyajyoti Ayurveda: A Vision Takes Shape
After completing his degree, Dr. Piyush Bagal was driven by a desire to give back to his roots. With the vision of bringing Ayurveda to his own people, he established Aarogyajyoti Ayurveda and Panchakarma Clinic in Pandharpur, the sacred land of Lord Vitthal. The modern and well-equipped clinic was formally inaugurated on 10 May 2024.
For Dr. Bagal, Aarogyajyoti is not just a clinic—it is a mission to restore health through traditional wisdom blended with modern facilities.
Experience Beyond Borders
Dr. Bagal has gained four years of clinical experience working alongside his guru, Dr. Harish Patankar, serving patients across Maharashtra. His journey also extended to the international stage when he participated in an Ayurvedic Cosmetology and Trichology Workshop organized by Kayayurveda in Dubai between 6 and 10 August 2023. There, he interacted with and guided Ayurvedic doctors, contributing to the global outreach of Ayurveda.
Service to Devotees and Society
Deeply committed to social service, Dr. Bagal regularly serves as an expert doctor at free Ayurvedic health check-up and treatment camps conducted on every fortnightly Ekadashi. These camps are organized at Namdev Paayari, Shri Vitthal–Rukmini Temple, Pandharpur, through the Shri Sadguru Vishwanath Maharaj Rukadikars Trust, Kolhapur, primarily for pilgrims and devotees.
Spreading Awareness Through Digital Platforms
Understanding the power of digital media, Dr. Bagal actively works to spread Ayurvedic knowledge beyond clinic walls. He runs his own YouTube channel, where he shares remedies for common ailments and effective home-based treatments. He has also participated in various podcasts, making Ayurveda accessible and relevant to a wider audience, especially the youth.
Healing Lives Across Regions
Since 2024, Dr. Bagal has been providing Ayurvedic treatment for various ailments to patients from Pandharpur and its surrounding areas. Through Aarogyajyoti Ayurveda, he has also organized free medical camps for local citizens. Alongside this, he continues a visiting practice in Pune, extending his reach and service.
A Mission Beyond Medicine
The journey of Aarogyajyoti, which began on 10 May 2024, is far more than a business endeavor. It reflects Dr. Bagal’s deep commitment to taking Ayurveda to every section of society. At a time when India is moving steadily toward becoming a global leader, his resolve to spread Indian culture and Ayurveda across the world stands strong.
In an age where many young minds are drawn toward Western influences, Dr. Piyush Lahu Bagal’s dedication to Indian traditions and Ayurveda serves as a source of inspiration and direction.
As echoed in his guiding motto:

—his journey of healing, service, and cultural preservation continues with unwavering spirit.

Recognizing his dedication and achievements, he has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
This honour is being presented by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine, celebrating Maharashtra’s emerging entrepreneurs and artists.
