In the heart of Mumbai’s fashion education scene, Miga Fashion Institute stands out as a beacon for aspiring designers, and behind its remarkable growth is Mr. Umesh Ashok Mahadik, Managing Director. Since its inception in June 2014 in Dombivli, Miga Fashion Institute has been on a mission to transform the dreams of young designers into reality.
With a vast and practical syllabus, Miga is the only institute in Maharashtra teaching maximum patterns across all fashion subjects, ensuring students gain 100% hands-on experience. The institute organizes study tours, exhibitions, seminars, career guidance, fashion shows, and skilled workshops, providing students a well-rounded exposure to the fashion industry.
Mr. Umesh Mahadik, aged 42, holds a B.Com, M.Com, MBA, and a Diploma in Fashion Designing. He oversees all aspects of the institute’s management, from infrastructure and student welfare to event management, marketing, finance, and faculty coordination. His leadership has led to the opening of three successful branches in Mumbai—Dombivli, Thane, and New Panvel—with plans to expand further.
Miga’s success stories are reflected in its alumni, many of whom have secured top jobs in fashion designing or launched their own businesses. Students have participated in prestigious platforms like India Kids Fashion Week and internal fashion shows organized by the institute. The institute itself has been recognized with awards for India’s Leading Fashion Designing Institute and as a Top Brand in Fashion Design in Kalyan and Dombivli.
Miga Fashion Institute has also collaborated with renowned Marathi celebrities such as Amruta Khanvilkar, Sonali Khare, Prajakta Mali, Sanskruti Balgude, and Abhidnya Bhave, offering students firsthand industry experience while working on celebrity fashion brands.

Recognizing his dedication and achievements, he has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
This honour is being presented by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine, celebrating Maharashtra’s emerging entrepreneurs and artists.
