In the heart of Gevrai Taluka, where quality ophthalmic services were once limited, Dr. Abhinav Bhimrao Muley has emerged as a beacon of hope for thousands of patients. Combining medical expertise with a vision for social impact, he has grown Yashodhan Eye Hospital into a trusted institution serving over 300 surrounding villages.
A Strong Foundation and Early Inspiration
Dr. Muley was born to a highly educated father and a mother who, though formally educated only up to primary school, was a skilled farmer. His mother ensured that he received an English-medium education, a rare opportunity in their area, while instilling strong values and discipline.
After completing his early education in Gevrai, Dr. Muley traveled daily to Beed for further schooling. He later pursued his medical education and completed postgraduate specialization (MS) in ophthalmology from a reputed college in Pune, followed by fellowships at Lions Club, Kurundwad, Kolhapur, and Rotary Club Darshan Eye Hospital, Sangamner.
Choosing Service Over Convenience 
While Dr. Muley could have easily practiced in larger cities, he chose to return to his small town of Gevrai, where the need for specialized eye care was urgent. His approach focuses on quality, patient comfort, modern facilities, and the latest medical technology, ensuring world-class care in a rural setting.
Dedication to Social Welfare
Alongside running the hospital, Dr. Muley has worked tirelessly to ensure that government and social welfare schemes reach the people who need them most. His wife, Dr. Shubhangi, has been an active partner, supporting every initiative. His brothers, Engineer Abhijit and Dr. Abhishek, have also provided unwavering support throughout the journey.
Recognizing the importance of outreach, Dr. Muley began conducting free eye care and medical camps across multiple villages. Over the years, he has organized more than 50 camps, providing free treatment and surgeries to underprivileged patients.
From Small Clinic to Full-Fledged Hospital
Starting from a modest clinic, Yashodhan Eye Hospital has expanded into a full-fledged 24-hour emergency eye care facility, becoming the only hospital of its kind in the region. The hospital has treated numerous eye trauma cases and emergencies and maintains collaborations with several superspecialist ophthalmologists to provide advanced care when needed.
Investing in Growth and Knowledge
To enhance patient care, Dr. Muley has invested in the latest medical equipment and pursued advanced surgical courses in cities including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, and Kolhapur. His dedication to professional growth ensures that patients receive cutting-edge ophthalmic care locally.
Creating a Legacy of Social Responsibility
In honor of his mother and her lifelong values, Dr. Muley established the Suvarnaparva Foundation, Gevrai, aiming to expand services to pathology, dental care, gynecology, medicine, and surgical departments.
He has also aligned with the Raigad Social Institution and Rotary Club of Gevrai, reflecting a commitment to social development alongside medical services. In just four years, Yashodhan Eye Hospital has treated approximately 25,000 patients, creating a significant impact on rural healthcare.
Inspiring Other Professionals
Dr. Muley’s journey has inspired other young doctors, with more than 10 rural-based physicians visiting Yashodhan Eye Hospital to learn how to start ophthalmic services with minimal budgets. He believes that business is not only a means of financial gain but also a platform to inspire and support others.

Today, Yashodhan Eye Hospital stands as a model of rural healthcare excellence, combining high-quality medical services with social commitment. Dr. Muley’s vision ensures that even in smaller towns, residents have access to advanced ophthalmic care, empowering the community while nurturing future healthcare leaders.

Recognizing his dedication and achievements, he has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
