At just 28 years of age, Lalit Krishnarao Dongre from Yavatmal, Maharashtra, has emerged as a rising name in the fields of engineering and fabrication. Though a mechanical engineer by qualification, Lalit did not limit his career to his degree. Using his skills, creativity, and innovation, he has executed projects that would typically require an entire team.
With nearly 15 years of practical experience, Lalit has successfully completed gym setups, poultry farming units, custom fabrication, and numerous extraordinary mechanical projects in his hometown and surrounding areas. His work goes beyond machinery—his true expertise lies in crafting new solutions based on need.
A Passion for Automobiles Sparks Innovation
In recent years, Lalit’s interest shifted toward automotive engineering. Driven by this passion, he undertook an ambitious project: building a Willys Jeep entirely from scratch despite limited resources. He also transformed a Mahindra Thar CRDe 4×4 into a powerful off-roader, inspired by the late singer Sidhu Moosewala’s Thar.
Lalit says,
“I had limited resources but immense courage. Tasks that seem impossible without a team, I decided to accomplish alone—and I did.”

Throughout his career, Lalit has faced countless challenges but has never given up. He firmly believes that with smart work and consistent effort, anything is achievable. His mindset is reflected in his favorite quote:
“Skilled work is not cheap and cheap work is not skilled.”
This philosophy forms the foundation of his company, Lalit Dongre Fabrication Engineering Works, where each project is completed with quality, strength, and innovation.
