The Tamil cinema landscape is gearing up for one of its most adrenaline-charged offerings in 2026 with “Sardar 2”, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2022 hit Sardar. Directed by P.S. Leading the charge alongside returning star Karthi is actress Malavika Mohanan, who has been sharing rare glimpses of her intense training for the film’s stunt sequences. Fans on social media were treated to behind-the-scenes visuals showing Mohanan strapped into harnesses and mastering complex rope work essential for performing high kicks and aerial actions — sequences she described as both nerve-racking and rewarding.
“These harnesses are what keep us suspended when we jump or float through the air,” Mohanan wrote about her preparation, noting that while rope work was initially tricky, she’s gained confidence and skill through extensive practice. A standout highlight of Sardar 2 is a dramatic mid-air fight scene between Karthi and Mohanan, reportedly staged inside what appears to be the fuselage of an aircraft. According to sources close to production, both actors underwent rigorous physical training to ensure the sequence looked authentic and thrilling on screen — a marked evolution from typical action choreography.
Beyond the elaborate stunt work, Sardar 2 aims to build on the original spy thriller’s success by adding deeper political themes and emotional depth, even as it delivers high-octane moments.
