Every success story begins with a dream, and for 23-year-old Gayatri Lalbegi, that dream evolved beautifully from dance to the world of makeup artistry. Today, she is recognized as a talented Makeup & Lash Artist, carving her own identity in a highly competitive industry.
Early Passion for Dance
Gayatri’s creative journey began at the tender age of six when she stepped into the world of dance. Over the years, she performed on numerous stages across Pune and won several prizes and awards. Her family, especially her grandmother, stood as her strongest pillar of support, encouraging her artistic ambitions.
However, life took an unexpected turn, and due to personal reasons, she had to leave the dance field. Though difficult, this phase became the foundation for a new beginning.
Discovering a New Calling 
After the lockdown in 2022, Gayatri decided to pursue her long-time interest in makeup. She completed a professional makeup course and dedicated herself fully to learning the craft. Even before formal training, she practiced makeup on herself, gradually working on family members and models to build her portfolio.
Her commitment and daily practice helped her gain confidence and the trust of clients. Soon, recommendations began pouring in, and she received opportunities to work at 5-star hotels, fashion shows, brand shoots, and professional events.
Rising Through Challenges
The beauty industry is known for intense competition and demanding work hours. Gayatri faced these challenges with patience and perseverance. Standing for long hours, handling diverse clients, and constantly upgrading her skills became part of her routine.
“Everything was difficult in the beginning, but I never stopped. I learned from my mistakes and kept improving,” she says.
Proud of the Journey Ahead
Today, Gayatri Lalbegi is known for her work and professionalism. From a young dancer to a confident Makeup & Lash Artist, her journey reflects dedication and self-belief.
She feels proud of how far she has come, yet believes her dreams are bigger than her achievements so far. “My journey is not over yet,” she says with a smile, ready to create many more success stories ahead.
Selected for Maharashtra’s Prestigious Awards
Recognizing her dedication and achievements, she has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
This honour is being presented by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine, celebrating Maharashtra’s emerging entrepreneurs and artists.
The selection marks a proud moment not only for her, but also for the entire region.
