Success is built on self-confidence, relentless hard work, and a positive mindset—and Ms. Supriya Mahesh Gosavi, Director of Dream Cakes Studio, is a living example of this belief. Turning her artistic passion into a flourishing business, Supriya has carved a distinct identity for herself in the world of customised baking and women-led entrepreneurship.
From a young age, Supriya displayed a deep love for creativity. Painting, stitching, knitting, and exploring new art forms came naturally to her. Alongside her artistic inclination, she excelled academically—securing first rank in her school and taluka in Class 10, and later achieving first rank at the Maharashtra state and university level in B.A. (Arts) with Hindi specialisation.
After completing her education, Supriya devoted several years to preparing for competitive examinations. Despite narrowly missing a government job by just 2–3 marks, she did not let disappointment define her journey. She began working as a teacher in a CBSE school, where her innovative teaching methods and creative approach quickly made her a favourite among students.
A turning point came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Supriya decided to try baking a cake at home. Drawing on her natural artistic skills, she began experimenting with cake designs. What started as a casual attempt soon turned into a promising venture, as her cakes gained popularity for their distinct designs and exceptional taste. With orders increasing rapidly, balancing teaching and baking became challenging, prompting her to take a bold step into full-time entrepreneurship.
Initially operating from home, Supriya invested time in learning the craft professionally by completing various baking and design courses. As demand grew, she worked tirelessly—often late into the night—to meet customer expectations. Even during her pregnancy and delivery phase, she continued managing her work with determination and care.
Her perseverance paid off with the launch of Dream Cakes Studio, which has now completed six successful years. Today, the studio is well-known in Yeola for its customised cakes and also conducts cake workshops, attracting students not only from Yeola but also from Nashik, Malegaon, and Sambhajinagar. The brand has become synonymous with creativity, quality, and personalised baking.
Reflecting on her journey, Supriya acknowledges that the road was filled with challenges. She credits her husband’s unwavering support—standing firmly behind her while managing his own professional responsibilities—as a key pillar of her success. “When a man stands strongly behind a successful woman, no woman’s dream remains incomplete,” she believes.
Grateful to her family, mentors, students, and customers, Supriya says her work has given her more than financial independence—it has given her an identity. Through Dream Cakes Studio, she continues to inspire women to pursue their passions fearlessly.
Her message to women is clear: Dream boldly, struggle with courage, and become self-reliant. Work is not only about earning money—it is about creating your own existence.

Recognizing her dedication and achievements, she has been selected for the prestigious “Maharashtra Business Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 / Maharashtra Fashion Icon 2025” awards.
This honour is being presented by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine, celebrating Maharashtra’s emerging entrepreneurs and artists.
