Born into a farming family, Rupali imbibed the values of hard work, perseverance, and resilience from a young age. Despite financial constraints, her parents ensured a strong foundation in education and values.
Overcoming Early Challenges
Early marriage, household responsibilities, and limited income made life particularly challenging for Rupali. After relocating to Nashik, managing a household on a modest salary became an uphill task. Refusing to succumb to circumstances, she resolved to stand on her own feet and carve her path.
The Birth of SAMRUDDHI FASHION ART
In 2008, Rupali started SAMRUDDHI FASHION ART with a second-hand sewing machine. She began by stitching blouses and dresses, gradually establishing her presence in fashion, design, and creative art. Balancing home, family, and work, Rupali transformed her artistic talent into a thriving business.
Building Trust and a Community Network
Rupali’s honesty, precise fittings, and innovative designs earned her the immense trust of women in the region. Today, SAMRUDDHI FASHION ART has a network of 800–1,000 loyal women customers. Many clients travel 15–20 kilometers to access her high-quality work.
Innovative Fashion Initiatives
Recognizing the demand for festive Indian fashion, Rupali launched a unique initiative for Navratri—designing and renting traditional Rajasthani Ghagras. Over the past three years, she has designed and stitched more than 250 ghagras, providing young women and girls with affordable, stylish, and high-quality ethnic wear.

Today, Rupali Thakre is more than a fashion artist; she is a powerful symbol of women’s empowerment. She has transformed struggles into opportunities, establishing a distinct identity through her creative talent.
Selected for Maharashtra’s Prestigious Awards
Recognizing her dedication and achievements, she has been selected for the prestigious “ Maharashtra Style Icon 2025 ” awards.
This honour is being presented by Reseal.in and India Fashion Icon Magazine, celebrating Maharashtra’s emerging entrepreneurs and artists.
